Morphological Study of the Lymphatic Sinuses of the Lymphatic Tissues from Rat Submandibular Lymphnodes

Abstract
In an electron microscopic study of the lymphatic capillary from the rat ovary, Chung (1976) was reported that some of the lining cells of the lymphatic capillary in corpus luteum and.stroma of the rat ovary was occasionally less electron dense in the cytoplasm rather than that of the ordinary neighboring capillary endothelia and connected with a tight junction each other.
The authors-investigated to determine the kind of the lining cells, which contained a less electron dense cytoplasm separated from¢¥ that of the ordinary capillary endothelia in association with the characteristics of the cytoplasmic fine structures.
The authors examined carefully the lining cells of the lymphatic sinuses in the submandibular lymph nodes electron microscopically in order to look for a similar cell type of a less electron dense cell among the various lining cells of the lymphatic sinuses.
In the lining cells or endothelia of the lymphatic sinuses of the submandibular lymph nodes two types of lining cells or endothelia were easily recognized, which were a electron dense cytoplasm contained lining cell or ordinary lining endothelia and a less electron dense cytoplasm contained lining cell or probable reticular cells.
The less electron dense cytoplasm contained lining cell in the lymphatic sinuses was characteristic of rich lysosomes in associated with other organelles. This clear lining cell with rich cytoplasmic organelles was fairly similar to the less electron dense cytoplasm contained lining cell observed in the lymphatic capillary of the corpus luteum and stroma from the rat ovary by Chung (1976).
Consequently the less electron dense lining cell of the lymphatic lining endothelia in the rat ovary was probably considered to be a similar kind of the lining cell or reticular cell in the lymphatic sinuses of the rat lymph nodes.
